Mom'S Dinner Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. scalded milk
    4 Tbsp. shortening
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    3 1/4 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 oz. yeast
    2 Tbsp. lukewarm water
    1 egg, beaten
Preparation
    Heat scalded milk, shortening, sugar and salt.
    Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.
    Add beaten egg.
    Then add egg-yeast mixture to heated milk mixture.
    Add 2 cups flour; beat until smooth.
    Add rest of flour.
    Turn onto a floured board and knead until smooth and elastic.
    Put in greased bowl.
    Grease top.
    Let rise in warm place (80\u00b0 to 85\u00b0) for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
