Candied Squash Rings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 acorn squash
salt and pepper
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. butter
2 Tbsp. water
Preparation

Cut squash into 1-inch thick ring slices; discard seeds. Place in single layer on shallow baking dish.
Season with salt and pepper and bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes, until almost tender. In saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter and water; cook and stir until bubbly.
Spoon over squash.
Continue baking, uncovered, until squash is tender, about 15 minutes more, basting often.
