Christmas Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1/3 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. almond flavoring
    2 3/4 c. sifted flour
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar; beat in eggs, salt and flavoring. Stir in flour.
    Blend thoroughly.
    Chill.
    Roll small portions on floured board to 1/8-inch thickness and cut in shapes with cookie cutters.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
    Makes 2 to 4 dozen.
    Decorate with colored frosting.
