Hot German Potato Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 medium potatoes
6 slices bacon
1/3 c. bacon fat
3/4 c. chopped onion
2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. celery seed
dash of pepper
3/4 c. water
1/2 c. vinegar
Preparation

Boil potatoes in their skins until tender.
Peel and slice thinly into bowl.
Fry bacon until crisp.
Cook the onoin in bacon fat in the skillet until yellow.
Mix in flour, salt, sugar, celery seed and pepper.
Stir in water and vinegar gradually.
Cook, stirring until mixture boils.
Boil 1 minute.
Pour over potatoes. Add the crisp bacon, broken into pieces.
Cover and let stand until ready to serve.
Heat over hot water.
Serve in a large bowl, garnished with parsley or chives.
Serves 6. Yummy!
