P. J.'S Apple Dumpling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (10 count) can Hungry Jack buttermilk biscuits
    1 c. sugar
    cinnamon
    3 large cooking apples
    1 stick margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Preparation
    Core and slice the apples into sections, leaving the peel on (approximately 12 slices per apple).
    Put these sections into a bowl of water until ready to use to avoid discoloration.
    Next, remove 1 biscuit at a time from the package and separate the biscuit to form 3 equal layers.
    Do not cut; pull apart. Place one section of apple on each layer of dough. Fold the dough over the apple and crinkle the edges together to form a crescent dumpling. Layer these dumplings into a 9 x 12-inch ungreased baking pan. Continue until all dumplings have been made.
