Anise Sticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. Crisco
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. anise oil
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 tsp. lemon extract or orange extract
    12 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    7 tsp. baking powder
    7 to 7 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream the Crisco and sugar; add eggs and flavorings.
    Mix well.
    Add dry ingredients.
    Oil 4 cookie sheets as this makes 4 loaves longways.
    Divide dough into 4 parts and make loaves about 1 inch high.
    Bake 40 to 50 minutes at 350\u00b0 until lightly browned. While still warm, slice 1/2 inch thick and place slices on cookie sheet and return to oven to crisp and brown slightly on both sides, about 10 to 12 minutes.
