Carolina Skillet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. shortening
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    3/4 c. milk
    1 3/4 c. sifted self-rising flour
    1/3 c. chopped nuts (optional)
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0. Grease and flour skillet or cake pan. Cream shortening, gradually adding sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each. Add flour and milk alternately. Mix in vanilla. Fold in nuts. Pour into pan and top with crumble topping. Make indentions in batter so the topping will bake into cake.
