Ruth Head'S Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. hot water
    1 c. sugar
    5 Tbsp. strawberry Jell-O
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 qt. fresh strawberries
    Cool Whip
    red food coloring
    1 baked pie shell
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Add water and boil 1 minute.
    Add red food coloring, if desired.
    Cool.
    Bake pie shell according to package directions; cool.
    Mix and fold liquid mixture with strawberries.
    Place mixture in pie shell.
    Top with Cool Whip. Refrigerate until time to serve.
