Italian Style Cheese Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 onions, sliced
1/4 c. butter or margarine
1/2 lb. zucchini, sliced
1 (15 1/2 oz.) can garbanzo beans
1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes, diced
1/2 c. dry white wine
1/4 tsp. black pepper
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. minced garlic
1 tsp. basil
1 bay leaf
1 c. shredded Jack cheese
1 c. grated Romano cheese
1 c. whipping cream
Preparation

Saute onions in butter in 4-quart saucepan until softened. Add zucchini, garbanzo beans, tomatoes, wine, salt and pepper, garlic, basil and bay leaf.
Cover and simmer gently 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in cheese and cream.
Simmer on low until cheese melts and chowder is heated through, stirring occasionally.
Yields 3 quarts.
