Sopaipillas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sifted flour
    1/4 c. warm water
    1 1/4 c. scalded milk (cooled)
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add to milk.
    Combine dry ingredients in a medium-sized bowl and cut in shortening.
    Make a well in center of dry ingredients.
    Add liquid mixture to dry mixture and work into a dough.
    Knead for 10 minutes or until smooth.
    Cover and set aside.
    Heat oil in electric skillet to 420\u00b0.
    Roll dough to 1/8-inch thickness, cut into 4-inch squares. Brown on both sides, turning once.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Serve hot with honey.
