Linda'S Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. water (1 c. if frozen berries are used)
    4 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    dash of salt
    1 tsp. red food coloring
    1 baked pie shell
Preparation
    Mix altogether in saucepan and cook and stir until thick.
    Let cool, then fold in 2 cups sliced strawberries.
    Pour in baked pie shell. Garnish with Cool Whip.
