Fresh Apple Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. grated or ground apples
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped pecans
1 1/2 Tbsp. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add beaten eggs and apples.
Sift together flour, soda and salt.
Add to creamed sugar mixture. Stir in chopped pecans and blend well.
Stir in buttermilk and vanilla.
Pour into greased loaf pan and sprinkle with 3 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
