Wilted Lettuce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. bacon, cut into small pieces
3 eggs
1/8 to 1/4 c. vinegar
1/2 c. sugar
pinch of salt
pepper
1 small onion
water
1 medium head lettuce
Preparation

Fry bacon until crisp.
Pour off most of the grease.
Break eggs in a bowl and pour over bacon.
Stir like scrambled eggs. Add water, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper.
Heat until all liquid is hot.
Break up lettuce into bite-size pieces.
Add onion cut into bite-size pieces and then pour the mixture over lettuce. Stir well.
We serve with potatoes cooked in salt water.
