Butter Flakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. milk, scalded
1/2 c. shortening (oleo or butter)
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 pkg. yeast
3 beaten eggs
4 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Scald milk.
Combine with shortening, sugar and salt.
Cool to lukewarm .
Add yeast and stir well.
Add eggs, then flour and milk to make a smooth, soft dough.
Knead lightly on floured surface.
Place dough in warm, but not hot, greased bowl.
Cover and place in warm, dry place.
Avoid drafts and let rise until doubled in bulk.
