Holiday Peppermint Bark - cooking recipe

1 (12 oz.) pkg. white chocolate chips
24 hard peppermint candies
Preparation

Line baking sheet with waxed paper. Melt chips in a double boiler stirring until smooth. Place peppermint candy in a heavy duty plastic bag. Crush candies using a rolling pin. While holding strainer over melted chips, pour crushed candy into strainer. Shake to release all small candy pieces; reserve larger candy. Stir the mixture until smooth. Spread mixture to desired thickness on prepared pan. Sprinkle with reserved candy and press lightly. Let stand for about 1 hour or until firm. Break into pieces. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
