English Muffin Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 to 6 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    2 pkg. Fleischmann's active dry yeast
    2 c. milk
    1/2 c. water
    cornmeal
Preparation
    Set aside 2 cups flour.
    In a large bowl, combine remaining flour (3 cups), sugar, salt, soda and yeast.
    Heat liquids until very warm.
    Add to dry mixture; beat well.
    Stir in reserved flour to make stiff batter (up to 1 cup extra flour may be used to form stiff batter).
    Spoon into two 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 or 9 x 5-inch loaf dishes that have been greased and sprinkled with cornmeal. Sprinkle tops with cornmeal.
    Let rise for 45 minutes.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Slice and toast to serve.
