Honey Bun - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. flour
    1/4 c. yeast
    2 1/4 Tbsp. salt
    1 egg
    1 pt. shortening
    1 qt. plus 1 c. warm milk
    1 1/3 c. sugar
Preparation
    Put 1/3 cup of sugar in the yeast, then add to the warm milk and set aside for about 5 minutes.
    Mix the rest of the dry ingredients together, then add shortening and egg; mix well.
    Add the milk mixture a little at a time until the dough pulls away from the bowl.
    Put a little melted butter on top of the dough.
