Delicious Yellow Cake Layers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    5 to 6 eggs
    3 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Separate egg yolks and whites; beat egg whites really stiff. In separate bowl, cream butter and sugar; add egg yolks, one at a time.
    Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk.
    Fold in egg whites.
    Makes 3 layers.
    Bake at 350\u00b0.
    Ice with favorite icing.
