Velvet Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 sticks butter or oleo
3 c. sugar
1 tsp. butter extract
1 tsp. almond extract
1/2 c. Crisco
1 tsp. baking powder
3 c. plain flour
1/4 tsp. salt
6 eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

Cream butter, sugar and Crisco well.
Add 1 egg at a time, beating after each addition.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
Add, alternating with milk to creamy mixture.
Add flavoring.
Pour into a greased and floured cake pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
This makes a large cake (10-inches).
