8 Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small head lettuce
    1/4 c. green onions
    3 sticks celery
    1 1/2 c. frozen peas, cooked
    1 pt. jar Hellmann's mayonnaise
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    8 strips fried bacon
Preparation
    Layer chopped or broken lettuce in a 9 x 13-inch glass dish. Sprinkle chopped green onions.
    Spread over chopped celery.
    Pour on cooked peas.
    Add layer of Hellmann's mayonnaise.
    Sprinkle 3 tablespoons of sugar. Crumble bacon over all.
    Top with 4 ounces of grated mild Cheddar cheese.
    Refrigerate overnight.
