Elephant Ears - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 cake or pkg. yeast
1/4 c. lukewarm water
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. butter or oleo
1/2 c. scalded milk
1 egg yolk
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 c. broken nuts
Preparation

Soften yeast in the warm water.
Mix flour with sugar and salt.
Cut in 1/2 cup butter as for pastry.
Combine milk, egg yolk and yeast mixture.
Add to flour and mix well.
Cover and chill until firm enough to handle (about 2 hours).
