Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. yellow squash
    1/2 stick margarine
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1 c. grated cheese, divided
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    In a saucepan, boil sliced squash in salted water until tender.
    Drain.
    Add butter and mash.
    Combine sugar, egg, mayonnaise and 1/2 cup cheese.
    Stir into squash.
    Pour into a 9-inch greased casserole dish.
    Sprinkle remaining cheese and pecans over top. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes or until lightly browned and cheese is melted.
