Italian Style Sausage-Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. dry Great Northern beans, soaked overnight
    1 14 oz. can Italian style plum tomatoes, chopped
    1 14 oz. can beef broth
    2 c. yellow squash or zucchini, cubed
    3/4 lb. Italian sausage
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/3 c. dry red wine
    10 oz. frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
Preparation
    Drain beans, then put in a saucepan; cover with water.
    Boil for 10-15 minutes.
    Brown sausage; drain off fat.
    Add to slow cooker with beans and remaining ingredients.
    Cover and cook on low 8 - 12 hours.
    Serve with Parmesan cheese and Italian bread.
