Blonde Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. nuts
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Melt shortening.
    Remove from heat; add sugar, eggs and vanilla.
    Beat well.
    Add dry ingredients, then chocolate chips and nuts.
    Spread in a 13 x 9-inch, well greased and floured pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
