Old-Fashioned Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    1 c. white corn syrup
    1/4 c. water
    2 c. raw peanuts
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Combine sugar, corn syrup and water.
    Cook to soft ball stage. Add peanuts and cook until mixture turns dark and will harden when a small amount is dropped into cold water.
    Remove from heat.
    Add salt, baking soda and vinegar.
    Stir well.
    Pour onto buttered cookie sheet.
    Cool and break into pieces.
    Yields 2 pounds.
