Almond Crescents - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3-1/4 c. blanched almonds, dry
    4 egg whites
    1-3/4 c. sugar
    6 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Put 2-3/4 c. almonds through your food grinder; *remaining 1/2 c. is for decorating and may be ground as well, but separately.
    Beat egg whites until they hold a point, then add sugar, flour, vanilla and ground almonds.
    Work dough with your hands until mixture holds together nicely.
