Pasta With Clam Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (6 1/2 oz.) cans chopped clams
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 cloves garlic
    1/4 c. cooking wine (white)
    1 tsp. dried basil
    1/8 tsp. ground red pepper
    6 oz. tri-colored ruffled pasta shapes, cooked and drained
    1/4 c. chopped parsley
    2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Drain clams.
    Reserve liquid.
    In large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat.
    Add onion and garlic.
    Saute 2 minutes.
    Add reserved clam liquid, wine, basil and pepper.
    Bring to boil; simmer 5 minutes.
    Stir in clams and heat 1 minute.
    Toss pasta with clam sauce and parsley.
    Sprinkle with Parmesan.
    Makes 5 servings.
