Apple Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1/3 c. milk
    apples
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. water
    cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix dough (flour, powder, salt, sugar, shortening and milk). Roll into a rectangle.
    Cover with a thick layer of apples. Roll up as for cinnamon rolls and slice off.
    Arrange in casserole and cover with a syrup made of the brown sugar and water.
    Heat brown sugar and water to boiling, then pour over mixture in casserole. Sprinkle on cinnamon.
    Bake until a delicate brown in a 350\u00b0 oven.
