Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 top round or sirloin steak
    1/4 c. Crisco
    1 c. water
    1 medium onion, cut into 1/2-inch slices
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 tsp. ground ginger
    2 medium green peppers, cut into 3/4-inch strips
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 tsp. sugar
    3 Tbsp. soy sauce
Preparation
    Cut meat into 2 x 1/4-inch strips.
    Heat oil in a large skillet.
    Cook meat in oil, turning frequently, until brown, about 5 minutes.
