Ingredients

1 baked 9-inch pie shell
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 qt. fresh strawberries
1 c. granulated sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. whipping cream
Preparation

Choose 10 to 15 large ripe berries and leave whole.
Mash the rest and bring to a boil over medium heat.
Stir in the sugar and cornstarch, which have been mixed together.
Cook slowly approximately 10 minutes, then let cool.
Line pie shell with softened cream cheese and raw whole berries.
Pour cooled mixture over top and cover with whipped cream.
