Scalloped Tomatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 c. tomatoes, peeled and cut up (fresh or canned)
1/4 c. margarine
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
salt and pepper to taste
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 c. toasted bread cubes
Preparation

Cook onion and green pepper in margarine until tender.
In a 2-quart casserole, mix all ingredients together, except for 1/2 cup bread cubes.
Sprinkle top with remaining bread cubes and bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
Serves 6.
For even better taste, top with grated cheese and put under broiler until bubbly brown.
