Buttercream Decorating Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. soft butter or margarine
    1/2 c. solid vegetable shortening
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 lb. box powdered sugar
    2 Tbsp. cool milk
Preparation
    Cream the butter and shortening together with mixer. Add vanilla and salt.
    Beat in the sugar, one cup at a time, blending well. Add milk and beat at high speed until light and fluffy. Keep icing covered in the refrigerator when not in use.
    Makes about 3 cups.
