Johnny Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. shortening
1 egg
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. cornmeal
1 1/4 c. flour
dash of salt

Preparation

Combine ingredients; pour into 8 x 10-inch baking pan.
Bake 1/2 hour at 350\u00b0.
