Vanilla Or Fruit Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 envelope unflavored gelatin
    1/4 c. cold water
    1/2 c. boiling water
    5 eggs
    2 1/3 c. granulated sugar
    dash of salt
    1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
    1 pt. whipping cream
    milk (to fill freezer can)
Preparation
    Soften gelatin in cold water.
    Add boiling water; set aside to cool.
    Using mixer, beat eggs thoroughly.
    Add sugar, salt and vanilla; continue beating.
    Add cream and 1 to 2 cups of milk; beat.
    Add cooled gelatin; stir well.
    Pour mixture into freezer can.
    Add enough milk to fill freezer can to fill line.
    Freeze as directed for freezer.
    Let ripen to improve flavor.
