Sour Mustard Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. vinegar
    2 pt. water
    1 c. salt
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. dry mustard
    2 or more tsp. alum
    2 Tbsp. whole pickling spice
Preparation
    Wash cucumbers. Sterilize jars.
    Pack cucumbers in jars and pour the
    brine
    over
    them.
    Let
    set.
    Sealing
    is
    not necessary.\tAny brine left over may be kept in jars until more cukes are gathered.
