Golden Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    2 c. sour cream
    1/3 c. chopped green onion
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. white pepper
    6 medium potatoes, cooked in jackets, peeled and coarsely shredded
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Combine cheese and butter in a saucepan over low heat; stir until cheese is melted.
    Remove from heat; stir in sour cream, onion, salt and pepper.
    Add potatoes, mixing gently.
    Pour into a buttered 2-quart casserole; dot with 2 tablespoons batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Yields 8 to 10 servings.
