Royal Meringue Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg whites (1 c.)
    2 navel oranges
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. well-drained pineapple chunks, chilled
    3/4 c. seedless green grapes
    1 banana, slice and dipped in chilled orange juice
    2 c. heavy cream
    1/2 c. confectioners sugar
    1 square German sweet chocolate, shaved with a sharp knife
Preparation
    In large bowl, let egg whites warm to room temperature (1 hour).
    Section oranges.
    Hold fruit over bowl; with sharp knife, remove peel and white membrane by cutting around in a spiral.
    Cut on each side of dividing membrane, lift out sections.
    Refrigerate.
