Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. cocoa
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    2/3 c. oil
    1/2 c. boiling water (measure accurately)
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/3 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Stir cocoa and baking soda in bowl.
    Blend in 1/3 cup oil.
    Add boiling water; stir until mixture thickens.
    Stir in sugar, eggs and remaining 1/3 cup oil.
    Stir until smooth.
    Add flour, vanilla and salt; blend completely.
    Bake in greased 9 x 13-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
    May add chopped pecans.
