Caramel Clusters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. margarine
    4 c. Kix cereal
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Heat margarine in heavy 3-quart saucepan over medium-high heat until melted.
    Stir in sugar.
    Stir frequently with wood spoon 4 to 5 minutes while mixture melts and begins to turn golden brown. Continue cooking 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly, until mixture is golden and no longer granular.
    Remove from heat. Quickly add cereal and mix until cereal is completely coated. Spread on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Cool.
    Break into bite-size pieces.
    Store in airtight container.
