Sour-Sweet Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 5 slices bacon
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. cider vinegar
    3/4 c. water
Preparation
    Cut bacon into small pieces; fry until crisp and drain.
    Mix rest of ingredients well; add bacon.
    Boil gently.
    Stir frequently for 20 minutes.
    This will become thick after it cools. Store in refrigerator.
    Serve with any mixture of green salad.
