Chicken And Rice Cacciatore - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. deboned chicken, cut into strips
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 medium green pepper, cut into strips
    1 garlic clove, minced
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
    1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves
    1/8 tsp. ground red pepper (optional)
    1 1/2 c. Minute rice
Preparation
    Cook and stir chicken with onion, green pepper and garlic in hot butter in large skillet until lightly browned.
    Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and seasonings.
    Bring to a full boil.
    Stir in rice. Cover; remove from heat.
    Let stand 5 minutes.
    Fluff with fork. Makes 4 servings.
