Three Generation Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 fat hen, killed, scalded and plucked
    4 c. flour
    1/2 c. butter
    cold water or milk
Preparation
    Cut chicken into pieces and place in large pot.
    Cover with salted water.
    Bring to boil.
    Cook chicken until tender.
    While chicken is cooking, make dumplings.
