Pecan Pie Surprise Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1/2 c. melted butter
4 eggs
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. Karo syrup
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. chopped pecans

Preparation

Set
aside
2/3
cup
cake mix.
Combine remaining cake mix, butter
and
1 egg in a large mixing bowl.\tMix with fork until crumbly.
Press
crumbs in a greased baking dish, 13 x 9 x 2-inches.
Bake
at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes or until light golden brown.
Combine reserved cake mix, 3 eggs, brown sugar, Karo and vanilla in a mixing bowl.\tBeat at medium speed for 1 to 2
minutes.
Pour
over partially baked crust and sprinkle with pecans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
Cool and cut into bars.
Makes 3 to 4 dozen.
