Strawberry Icebox Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. mashed strawberries
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 c. whipped cream
    1 Tbsp. gelatin
    1/4 c. cold water
    vanilla wafers
Preparation
    Let strawberries stand while preparing other ingredients. Soak gelatin in 1/4 cup cold water for 5 minutes; dissolve over boiling water and add crushed berries.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Set aside to chill.
    When it begins to thicken, fold in whipped cream.
