Chili Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. peeled and chopped tomatoes
    1 c. chopped onion
    3 red peppers, chopped (sweet)
    3 green peppers, chopped
    1 c. brown sugar (packed)
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1 c. vinegar
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1 1/2 tsp. ground red pepper
    1 tsp. chili powder
Preparation
    Combine tomatoes, onion, peppers, sugar, salt and vinegar in a large kettle.
    Cook, stirring frequently, over low heat until thick.
    Pour into hot sterilized pint jars.
    Place hot lids and rings on jars, screwing rings on tight.
    Yields 6 pints.
