Cherry Buns - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Pkg. Dry Yeast & 1/2 c. Warm Water
    1 3/4 c. Warm Water
    2 Eggs
    3/4 tsp. Salt
    3/4 c. Sugar
    2/3 c. Shortening
    About 6 - 7 c. Flour
    1 can Cherry Pie Filling
    Brown Sugar
    Cinnamon
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water.
    Set this aside.
    In a large mixing bowl combine these ingredients:
    warm water, eggs, salt, sugar, shortening, flour.
    Mix and add dissolved yeast to above ingredients.
    Add enough flour to make a soft dough.
    Turn dough onto a floured board.
    Like making bread.
    Place back in large bowl and cover with damp cloth.
    Let rise until double in size.
    Punch down and divide in half.
    Roll out one of the halves and shape in rectangle (10 - 15 inches).
    Butter dough and spread brown sugar and cinnamon on top.
    Roll up in log shape.
    Cut buns 1 1/2 inch wide.
    Place in greased pan 9 x 13 inch laying the buns on their side.
    Spoon Cherry Pie Filling on top of each bun.
    Let rest 1/2 hour.
    Bake at 375 degrees about 30 minutes.
    Let cool.
