Mayor Bill Roberts' Microwave Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 qt. popped popcorn
    1 stick margarine
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. Karo syrup
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Mix together brown sugar, margarine, Karo syrup and salt. Microwave on High 3 minutes, stirring after each minute.
    Remove and stir in soda.
    Pour over corn in paper bag, stirring or shake it well.
    Put bag in microwave for 1 minute and heat 15 seconds on High.
    Take out and shake the bag.
    Put back in microwave for 1 minute and 15 seconds on High.
    Take the bag out and shake.
    Put back in microwave for 30 seconds.
    Take out and spread on cookie sheets to cool.
