Garlic Dill Pickles(Servings: 6 Quarts) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

40 small to medium cucumbers, washed and cubed
6 large heads dill
6 cloves garlic, peeled
6 thick slices onion
1 pinch alum (in each jar)
1 qt. vinegar (5% acidity)
2 qt. water
1 c. canning salt
Preparation

Pack 6 sterilized quart jars with onion, garlic, dill, alum and cucumbers in that order.
Bring vinegar, water and salt to boil. Fill each jar, leaving some headspace.
Process in hot water bath.
