Cumin Rice Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. uncooked rice
    1/3 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. chopped green pepper
    2 Tbsp. bacon fat
    2 cans condensed consomme or bouillon, boiling hot
    3/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. cumin seed
Preparation
    Heat rice, onion and pepper in bacon fat until golden brown. Combine in 2-quart casserole with remaining ingredients.
    Cover tightly.
    Bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) about 30 minutes or until rice is tender.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
