Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. uncooked oatmeal
    1 3/4 c. boiling water
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    2 large eggs
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cover the oatmeal with boiling water and let stand 10 minutes. Cream together sugars and margarine.
    Add eggs, 1 at a time, and beat thoroughly.
    Sift together the dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture, alternating with oatmeal.
    Stir in half the chocolate chips.
    Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Pour in the batter and sprinkle with remaining chips; add the nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
